Revelstoke, the "Gateway to Mountain Adventure and National Parks" resides between the massive Monashee and Selkirk Mountains. Mount Revelstoke National Park, northeast of the city, offers incredible outdoor adventures through breathtaking sub-alpine wildflower meadows. During the winter, spend a day shoeshoeing or cross-country skiing through the park. One hour east of Revelstoke is Glacier National Park, home to over 400 permanent glaciers. Visit the Rogers Pass Centre to learn about the park's ecosystem and the story of Rogers Pass. While both parks offer great surroundings for wilderness photographers, please note that visitors to the parks require a National Park Pass, which can be found throughout the city of Revelstoke and at Welcome Stations in the parks.
