The Tofino Inlet House was built in 1964 and the Tofino Inlet Cottages were built in 1970. Built entirely of westcoast cedar by a Swiss master craftsman, the house and cottage's warmth and comfort is hard to beat.
The cottages overlook Tofino Inlet and the crabdock, and have views that are both entertaining and breathtaking. Looking northeast from the porches, one can see snow-covered Forbidden Plateau, Meares Island, and Lemmens Inlet. Looking west, one has a view of the length of Tofino Harbour. The sunsets from the cottages are spectacular. On the shore, the house and cottages are surrounded by lovely, well-established gardens of azaleas, rhododendrons and hydrangeas, which provide privacy and an atmosphere of repose. Although the property is out of the way of the action in the village, it is only a 5 minute drive, or a leisurely walk or cycle to most shops, tour boat companies, good restaurants and splendid beaches.
Tofino's new bike path provides villagers and guests alike with safe walking, cycling, skateboarding or rollerblading to Mackenzies beach, Chestermans beach, and Cox Bay.
