In one of Nelson’s grand heritage homes located on a bluff overlooking the old train station and west arm of Kootenay Lake. A designated heritage building, Stanley house was built in 1908 as the home for the District Superintendent of the Canadian Pacific Railway.

The guest rooms, The Botanist, The Rose Garden and The Lilac Bower, are furnished with period antiques, four-poster and brass beds with fluffy Canadian goose down duvets. Each room has a three-piece ensuite for your privacy.

Awake each morning to a full breakfast in our elegant dining room. You will be treated to home baking, gourmet coffees and entrees made with free range eggs. The guest sitting room is the place to rediscover old-fashioned pleasures of relaxing music, a good book or conversation over a game of backgammon. Evening tea and cookies are a tradition here!
