Chalet by the Sea, a Historic Bed and Breakfast in the garden city of Victoria on Vancouver Island, BC. Enjoy the clean ocean air and our casual elegance - truly one of the Victoria's finest B&B.

Our Bed and Breakfast represents an island life, the way locals like it and cherish it. Located on a quiet tree-lined street in the prime seaside neighborhood, only steps from the ocean, with miles of beaches, walking trails and striking views of the Olympic Mountains across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The B&B is walking distance to the downtown Victoria Inner Harbour, Royal British Columbia Museum, Beacon Hill Park and a short double-decker bus ride to the world famous Butchart Gardens.

Our plentiful breakfasts are simple and light as not to mask the natural flavours found in our local quality ingredients, organic where possible, well presented, served by the fire in the dining room or library. We'll cater to most dietary needs, let us know in advance.

Chalet by the Sea is an Arts & Crafts manor home, designed in 1911 by renowned architect of his time Samuel Maclure. The building was commissioned by the wealthy Captain William Grant as a wedding gift to his son. Today, you can enjoy the unique features of this heritage home, like stained glass windows, fireplaces, wood floors, a period staircase, extensive woodwork and our art collection.
